In the early twentieth century the Midway District of St. Paul became a thriving regional hub for transportation, industry, commerce, and education. This article traces the development of the Midway, its broad spectrum of neighborhoods, and the important role that the Midway Club and later its successor, the Midway Chamber of Commerce, played from its origins in 1919 to the present day.
